==== Background ====

I have a 700 sq.ft. garden area at home. Though its an apartment, since my house is the only one with access to this garden, the prior owner of the house had bought off this 'common area' from the rest of the various flat owners. So that essentially means, the 700 sq.ft is all for my experimentation!


=== History ===

Though I have been observing wild-life, if you could call it that, in my backyard garden, I didn't do any active gardening besides digging up the soil on some random days out of a simple curiosity for insects. My interest in plants are purely from an ecosystem point of view and my love of learning and observing still remains in the strange world of insects.<tip>Did you know that honey Bees prefer more bio-diversity of flowers? If a weed has a flower, don't get rid of the weed. </tip>


However, I took to regular gardening ever since my parents moved to Thanjavur.

=== What I grow ===
In no specific order, here are a list of things that grow in my garden
  * Flowering plants
    * Jasmine (5 plants in all) near the sit-out. The evening breeze brings in a nice scent into the house!
    * December (3) - (Dad's idea) mostly grown in pots to allow moving it around based on seasons
    * Rose (3)
  * Vegetables
    * Beans (12)
    * Taro (or Colocasia) (6)
    * Green / Red chillies (10)
    * [[Brinjal]] FIXME
    * [[Coriander]] FIXME
    * Tomato
